Legion recognizes winners of annual Remembrance Day contest.

The annual remembrance day for Con Houlihan takes place in Castleisland on Saturday September 30th. This year sees the launch of the Con Houlihan Trail by Castleisland Chamber Alliance. The trail consists of a short tour of Castleisland town taking in some of Con’s favourite places in the area. Fifteen plaques will be unveiled on the day.

While participating in the contest, students will learn about and make a personal connection to Memorial Day. Each grade has a specific task that has been designed with grade levels and skills in mind while addressing the historic importance of Memorial Day in Waterloo.
